ABOUT
The Pacific Islands Scholars Award (PISA) supports attendance and participation by Pacific Islands scholars at ASAO meetings through travel awards and waivers of some fees. We are particularly interested in supporting younger scholars and those who have not previously attended ASAO meetings, but we encourage all prospective Pacific Islands participants (from graduate students to practicing professionals at any level) to apply. We recommend reading the application materials (see below) and the current session proposals for the 2025 Annual Meeting in order to consider whether you might want to take part in one or more of them.
APPLY FOR PISA
The application process is open for PISA, 2025! This award supports attendance and participation by Pacific Islands scholars at ASAO meetings through travel funds (in years when the meeting is held in person) and waivers for meeting registration and membership fees. This year's meeting will be held in Nadi, Fiji, at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort on Denarau Island.
Please submit your application online using the button below. Applications are due by 11:59 pm HST on November 22, 2024.
