PACIFIC ISLANDS SCHOLARS AWARD (PISA)
ABOUT PISA

The Pacific Islands Scholars Award (PISA) supports attendance and participation by Pacific Islands scholars at ASAO meetings through travel awards and waivers of some fees. We are particularly interested in supporting younger scholars and those who have not previously attended ASAO meetings, but we encourage all prospective Pacific Islands participants (from graduate students to practicing professionals at any level) to apply. We recommend reading the application materials (see below) and the current session proposals for the 2024 Virtual Meeting in order to consider whether you might want to take part in one or more of them.

APPLY FOR PISA

The application process is open for the 2024 Pacific Islands Scholars Award (PISA)! This competitive, prestigious award supports attendance and participation by Pacific Islands scholars at ASAO meetings through travel awards (in years when the meeting is held in person) and waivers for meeting registration and membership fees.

We are continuing our online application system this year, and hope this makes the application process easier for all.
